In January 2017 the Center for Law & Policy launched the “Stop the inJuSTice” Campaign to mobilize state and federal stakeholders to pass laws that increase protections for child sex trafficking victims and accountability for offenders.
“Stop the inJuSTice: State Action” seeks meaningful legislative change to close legal gaps in all 50 states and D.C. identified by the 2017 Protected Innocence Challenge (PIC). In 2017, we set a goal to support at least 6 states in enacting relevant laws within 6 months; in 2018, we are doubling that goal. This year, we are working to support at least 12 states pass laws that address critical issues and PIC recommendations. But we need you!!
By sharing “Stop the inJuSTice” Campaign materials on social media, contacting your elected officials, or becoming an Ambassador of Hope, you can be the crucial link that aids in the prevention of child sex trafficking in the US. Together we can ensure that our tomorrow does not include a commercial market that exists for the purpose of abusing children. Check out our social media tools below and start advocating today!
