I can’t thank you enough for my scholarship!!!
I had never met another survivor before, so that’s why all the tears and hugs. It was so hard to walk away and leave y’all that last night of the conference. I had never experienced that “safe” feeling before.
I have been in close touch with all the girls from the conference. I also met with a physical therapist today and she referred me to a complex trauma therapist nearby. So maybe this is my next step to healing. The JuST conference changed my life!

We’re proud to announce the release of our 9th Annual Protected Innocence Challenge State Grades!
For the past nine years, Shared Hope International has dedicated time and resources to analyzing the strength of each state’s laws addressing child sex trafficking. Throughout this time, we have seen significant advancements and a steady increase in state scores.
In 2019, there are now 15 states with an “A” grade, no failing states, and only two states have a “D” grade.
Thank you so much for helping us drive change that makes our nation safer for adults and children.
Find out your state grade by reviewing your state’s Report Card now!

Greetings,
It isn’t often one comes across organizations that remain true to their mission. They may fall short, deviate to the left or to the right, but staying the course is rare.
Shared Hope International is one of the few, a treasure to those of us exploited for things God never intended.
It has been and continues to be my great pleasure to be a survivor leader, a civilian member of law enforcement, and a 2014 recipient of the SHI Pathbreaker Award.
My journey, like many survivors, began with extreme difficulty and loss. Over time however, I have been blessed to partner with SHI as I have grown in my recovery the past 15 years.
Getting to know Congresswoman Linda Smith and SHI staff has been one of the highlights, with shared hopes and dreams, personal and professional ups and downs, accomplishments and disappointments.
SHI has always treated the survivor community with respect, inclusion, and dedication unsurpassed. We are extended family.
As an Advisory Board member of SHI, I thought I would write you and let you know how much we value your support. You make the difference between a survivor being able to attend the JuST Conference, support their community with outreach and educational opportunities, or not.
Whether seasoned (old-timers like myself) or new to the movement, we are welcome. This means the world to us, being invited to the table and included in the many worthwhile efforts SHI undertakes.
On behalf of the hundreds of survivors you support with your resources, thank you.
Warmly,
Rev. Dr. Marian Hatcher
