We applaud its powerful achievements in raising awareness and understanding of human trafficking among the general population. Both the message and artistic merits of the film are admirable and a net positive to the broader field and movement. For this we are grateful.
While Sound of Freedom does an excellent job showcasing international trafficking, we would like to remind the public that our own country is full of American-born children who are trafficked on the streets of nearly every urban city throughout the country, and these children desperately need the support of organizations like Shared Hope. We have been fighting the insidious crime of sex trafficking for decades and providing hope and healing to its survivors.
