At the heart of the Defenders movement is a simple but serious decision: to reject the demand that harms women and children and to live in a way that defends dignity, honor, and respect.

This is not a campaign or a program.
It is a commitment and a calling.

The first and most important step of becoming a Defender is taking the pledge.

By taking the Defender Pledge, I commit to live this out before my family, friends, and community:

I take a stand against pornography, prostitution, and all forms of commercial sexual exploitation.
I will continually educate myself and challenge attitudes, words, and behaviors that contribute to exploitation.
I will take action to protect those I love from the harms of this destructive market.

This pledge reflects how I choose to live, with integrity, accountability, and respect for the dignity of every person.

Why Defenders Matter

Sex trafficking is driven by supply and demand. When there is demand, exploitation follows.

The commercial sex industry, including pornography, prostitution, escort services, and strip clubs, normalizes the buying and selling of human beings. Women and children are the ones who bear the cost.

Defenders confront the root of the problem: demand.

When men refuse to participate and instead choose to protect, speak up, and live differently, culture begins to change and lives are defended.
