To raise public awareness of the trafficking of American children
for commercial sex within the United States, Shared Hope International
launched an essay contest at Georgetown University in partnership
with The Fund for American Studies Program. This contest kicked
off an educational grassroots effort to encourage public dialogue
and awareness about domestic sex trafficking among college students
and provided students with the opportunity to build their professional
writing portfolios and earn scholarship money. Please be sure
to check back for future contests.
The following essays received top honors
in our contest. They will be included in Shared Hope International
promotional materials
and submitted to nationally
syndicated publications.
